Communication between a Builder and an Owner is through an Architect, for transparency and an Owner’s protection.

ARCHITECT AS ADVISOR TO OWNER
With Builders it is a widely spread misconception that an architect’s role is to obtain approved drawings only. Architect is an advisor to owner, from the first call to obtaining final letter of completion.

BUILDER’S ROLE
IS TO BUILD
A Builder’s role is in short to build per an Architect’s drawings. Builders are not trained to advise owners on apartment renovation questions. For an Owner’s protection, communication shall be through an Architect.

YOUR ARCHITECT TALKS TO BUILDER
It is a conflict of interest that a Builder signs contract with an Owner prior engaging Architect! Do not fall for Builder sweet talk and how they “Have done this for years”! Experience does not replace oversight. Construction requires careful coordination. What seems simple, rarely is.
An Architect serves as your safeguard throughout the process. A protection, ensuring you are not left to decipher technical requirements or contractual obligations on your own.
